Cornerstone has been the exclusive marketing agent for the Wheat Ridge Housing Authority since it's inception.
The Authority was created to provide affordable homeownership opportunities in the city of Wheat Ridge. Forty-one homes have been sold to low and moderate households. All of these homes were acquired as blighted properties and rehabilitated and sold to proud new owners.
In 2011, seven single family homes were acquired out of the public housing stock and were rehabilitated and sold again creating homeownership out of rental housing in Wheat Ridge. Some of the funds generated out of the sale of these homes has been recycled and two more homes are available in 2014. Down Payment assistance is built in and closing costs assistance is also available for eligible homebuyers.
